Milan, Italy.

“You may have the universe, if I may have Italy.”

– G I S E P P E V E R D I

You see, one of the greatest joys of travelling is stumbling across a city that makes you feel like home. Milan to me, is that city. Having visited 6 times in the last year, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. And then it hit me..

Milan is more than its Michelangelo inspired architecture, it’s mouthwatering Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli, or Leonardo Davinci’s Last Supper. I figured I had become addicted to the Italian way of life.

La Dolce Vita è il Dolce Far Niente! The sweet life is the art of doing nothing! What exactly does this mean? Well. Let me show you.

Radisson Blu Hotel Milan:

Step 1: Book yourself into a hotel with a spa and pool.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II:

Step 2: Take a stroll around the Galleria. Indulge in the designer shops, the Italian food, and the wine.

Duomo di Milano:

Followed by step 3. A stroll around Milan Cathedral.

And yes, It’s really as simple as that. Shop, eat and drink to your hearts desire – and with absolutely no guilt whatsoever. As Elton John once said:

“I love the food. I love the people. I love the attitudes of Italians.”

Me too Elton, me too.

 With love,
