“The finest address in KL”- Oh, trust me. They are not lying.
During my first week in Kuala Lumpur, I was lucky enough to have laid my eyes upon this exqusite hotel. Upon entering, I was lost for words. This place is an absolute dream.
We were situated in the Deluxe room, where modern day glamour meets old-world elegance. The room came equipped with a lounge area, bar, walk in closet, and the most beautiful bathroom. Not only that, but I was blown away by the astonishing views overlooking KL – with the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala lumpur Tower in sight, this was definitely the right room.
Now this is where it gets exciting. The amenities of this hotel are beyond impressive. The St. Regis offers 6 dining areas, a spa and wellness facility as well as countless meeting and events room, one of which being a Grand Ballroom with the most elegant interior. My favourite part of this hotel however, is the pool area. The infinity pool on the 6th floor offers divine views of KL, as well as a cinema screen. Yes, you read right. A cinema screen as you swim, whether it be in daylight or sunset.
Food. Food. Food. The food was astounding. We were given the choice to dine in 6 different restaurants within the hotel, all offering worldwide foods ranging from local Malaysian cuisine, to Japanese Tempura and right down to Tokyo’s Sushi Saito. We dined in ‘The Brasserie’ situated on the 2nd floor, and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The menu offers a variety of French-Mediterranean cuisine cooked by the utmost talented chefs and served by the classiest waiters and waitresses. My two favourite dishes had to be the scallops with carrot mash and the lamb with tomato and mini courgettes. Highly pleasant to the taste.
Lastly, the service at the St. Regis is non comparable. The maids ensured the room was immaculate on a daily basis and all staff were at your service 24/7. Good morning and good night notes were left on your desk for comfortability and the overall atmosphere was delightful. I have no downfalls for this hotel. If I could, I would reside here for the rest of my life!
If you’re ever in Kuala Lumpur and need a place to stay, you know exactly where to go!
